Rawai Beach, located at the southernmost tip of Phuket, is a working beach known more for its local atmosphere and logistical convenience than for swimming. It serves as a major hub for traditional long-tail boats and speedboats departing for nearby islands.

Tips for visiting

Island Hopping: It is a primary departure point for trips to Koh Bon (10 mins), Coral Island (20 mins), and Racha Island (40 mins).

Fresh Seafood: The Sea Gypsy Fish Market on the eastern end allows you to buy fresh catches and have them cooked at nearby restaurants.

Not for Swimming: Due to the large number of moored boats, shallow waters, and rocky mudflats at low tide, it is generally unsuitable for swimming. For swimming, nearby Nai Harn Beach or Yanui Beach are recommended.
